I came here for one week after a double knee replacement. The therapy was incredible with professional therapists that really know what they're doing. You can tell that all the staff really enjoy what they do and care about their patients. The food was great with different choices for every meal. As of the last update they had a daily average of 91.1 residents compared to the MO average of 68.44 and a National average of 86.4. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services does their best to provide a fair assessment of every Nursing Home, but please note these ratings are a snapshot in time.

Aides hide in resident rooms on their phones instead of taking care of patients. I had my mom and dad at Big Bend Woods and I have to say the staff there are very caring and welcoming. The nurses were very informative when I had questions. I told the therapy department exactly what I needed my mom and dad to do to get them back home and they made that their goal and both returned home! I can't name one issue we had during their stay and I visited every day.Very friendly staff and thanks to them we had a positive experience.
